September is the month for Football and Virgo's

Well it's been a few weeks since I've had time to time to set aside towards organizing my social life, probably due in part to a recent death of a friend's father, the holiday weekend, the first week of college football, and my birthday as well as my mother's.

With that being said, check out my current horoscope:
It's Build Up Your Confidence by Any Means Possible Week -- for Virgos only. During this holiday, you have an astrological mandate as well as a poetic license to pluck the easy victories. So go ahead and solve the kinds of riddles that are your specialty. Arrange to be in situations where your perspective is desperately needed. Put yourself in the presence of people who think you're a gift to the human race, and subtly encourage your secret admirers to be less secretive. If you have any trophies or awards, make them more visible. There's no shame in bragging this week, Virgo, but for best results do it with your best understated elegance.

If you are interested in knowing your own, I suggest you check out this website, as I have always found it to the best and most insightful: www.freewillastrology.com

Now that all that is behind me, let's get rolling with the upcoming Social Events in the Ham . . . and by the way, we will be continuing our bi-weekly trend of Ladies Night Out at Bottega this coming Monday, September 14th. Hope to see everyone there if not sooner at the Bama game or some other peak social gathering!

The BIG Thursday in the HAM

Okay, so tonight is THE BIG THURSDAY! There is SO MUCH going on tonight it makes my pocketbook spin and sends my closet into hurricane prep mode. Check out your options and choose your social vices wisely . . . (I highlighted my *preferred* event in Green)!

Oh, and for those of you who made it out this past Monday to the ever so popular ‘Ladies Night Out’ at Bottega Cafe on Monday night! I think we all concur, it was a success as always - If only we'd had a bigger table!? :) Thanks to the newcomers and the regulars alike for making it a fun and enjoyable evening. It also seems to be coming routine to end the evening with a night cap at the Garage Cafe across the street. Please let me know who all is a FAN of that? Our next LNO will be Monday, August 31st, as we've decided to make it a bi-weekly thing.

Finally, please come out to OAK HILL in Homewood tonight after whichever event you choose to attend. Ashley Miller & Rick Carter will be playing Live and kicking off sometime around 8:30-9. Hope to see everyone there!

AUGUST is all about Thursdays in the Ham

Thursdays this month seem to be the HOT HOT HOT night. I can’t wait until I officially become a paid event planner and can plan some of these people’s events on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, because Birmingham is turning into Boringham on those nights just about, because everyone seems to want to hold their events on Thursdays?

Not entirely true though! We are bringing back the ever so popular ‘Ladies Night Out’ at Bottega on Monday nights, beginning on MONDAY, AUGUST 17th! Please let me know who all is a FAN of that, and should we do it on a weekly basis or bi-weekly?

Also, Tuesdays at Jackson’s Bar & Bistro in Soho Square Homewood is 2 for 1 night (Half Price Beers, Well and Call Drinks from 5:00 p.m. until close), and there is a very young and hip crowd there, though the service does not meet up to standards, so you have to be willing to compromise on that one. Also on Tuesdays, is $5 Martini night at the Blue Monkey on Cobb Lane in 5 Points South. Also, new for Tuesdays, and would love to try this out NEXT Tuesday if anyone wants to join, “Jazzy Tuesdays" 6-9:00pm@The Highland Hotel: “The only place where you can hear the best smooth jazz duo in Birmingham, and be home by 10:00 p.m. Drink a glass of wine. Chill with your friends. Listen to live jazz.”

And then of course Hump Day is Wine Down Wednesday at numerous places all over town including the Wine Loft Downtown, Metro Bistro, the J. Clyde, the Tavern on the Summit, the Village Tavern, and Wine’d Down at Patton Creek among others I am sure. So, to follow that up I want to let you know about all the events going on during the Thursdays of August, plus any other events I am aware of . . .

Also please feel free to respond to me with any Feedback or Suggestions, is this good information or old news, i.e. keep it coming or oh so boring!?

On a final note, if you aren’t on Twitter yet, then you should be. If you don’t know how to use it yet, then follow me and see what I do, or just ask me and I’ll show you. Aside from popular belief, if used properly you will not be getting feed about people going to the doctor or having to powder their nose, but rather good information in a short, but sweet, very condensed format. I only use Twitter to gain and communicate to others useful information! So, follow me here: http://twitter.com/NoelleBhm
